Articus offers you the flexibility to begin with a blank canvas, giving you the power to bring your artistic vision to life and create stunning designs, illustrations, and visual content from scratch.

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to:

  • Create a new project using a blank canvas

  • Generate AI images for your project

  • & import or use images from the Pixabay library

Create a new project using a blank canvas

From the dashboard, click on "Create new project."

Follow the prompts to set up your first project, including adding a project name and selecting the canvas size. You can choose from predefined sizes like Facebook or Instagram, or configure a custom size.

Select the blank template option to create a project from scratch.

Click on "Create Project."

This will take you to the canvas view.

Generate AI images for your project

In the blank canvas view, you have two options. The first option is to Generate an AI image. When you click on "Generate AI image" the left side panel will appear.

Here, you can instruct Articus on what image to create. For instance, you can request an image like, "a long yellow summer dress with pink flowers."

Choose the number of variations you'd like from 1 to 10 images.

Click on "Generate."

Articus will start generating images based on your prompt. Give Articus a few moments to think.

Once completed, you can see the image variations and choose to "Download" or "Add to Canvas."

Import or use images from the Pixabay library

To add an imported image, click on "Import image." The side panel will open, allowing you to choose an image file from your device (in PNG, GIF, or JPG format).

The imported image will be shown in the left side panel and you can add multiple images if needed.

Click on the image to drag and drop it onto your canvas.

Alternatively, select an image from the Pixabay library.

In the search field enter the details for the types of image you're looking for. For example, "yellow summer dress."

Click on "Search."

Click on the image to drag and drop it onto your canvas.
